Cassius proposes the murder of Anthony, and brutus opposes it because he doesnt want it all to become too bloody. also, he doesnt want people to believe that they were killed out of anger and envy.

Brutus does not want to kill Antony because he believes Caesar is the one and only threat to Rome. They think once Caesar is no longer in the picture Antony will not be any threat to them or Rome.
