We should care about Shakespeare, even after all this time, because he was one of the few men who truly understood the power of words, and through his writing, he impacted the world as greatly as any person in history. Not a living soul today can write as beautifully as he, or put words together to tell a story so poetically, and I'm sure no one in his time could either. If the world ever sees the like of William Shakespeare again, we would be universally blessed. Unfortunatley, in this case, history will most likely never repeat itself. It is difficult to create perfection, it is impossible to duplicate it. If we truly want to better ourselves through English literature, or merely observe and read how our beautiful language used to be spoken, read Shakespeare.
