A mechanism in the roof over the stage allowed for the illusion of flying.
Yes, the new Globe Theatre, like its Elizabethan counterpart, is open to the weather and is lit by natural light. As with the original theatre, there is a roof over the stage and over the seating areas, but not over the "pit" where you can get standing room tickets.
I am not 100%, but I believe it was because there was no roof... Since the groundlings were right in front of the stage, there was no roof over their heads (none over the stage) If it rained, they would get wet! Hope this helps!
The Globe Theater did not have a roof.
The Roof Area in the Globe Theatre was known as "The Heaven"

The Globe is an open air theatre in central London. Should you have meant 'has the roof been repaired using a patching method' then the answer would be no as there is no roof to patch. Furthermore, had you meant 'does the globe theatre have a THatched roof' then the answer would still be a definite no for similar reasons.
It had a thatched roof, hence the fire of London spreading easily.
