In the book A Raisin in the Sun why does Walter want to take the offer by Linder?
i don't know i missed lesson on don't miss the miss because the miss is missed am i forgetting a miss? i think i missed a miss eh. oh well just call me miss missed Missy but seriously i have know idea what don't miss the miss because the miss is missed is because i actually did missthe lesson where i was supposed to learn what don't miss the miss because the miss is missed so go ahead and call me miss missed Missy. Walter initially invites Mr. Lindner over to their apartment again because he wants to take the money.

Walter won't take Miss Caroline's money because he feels embarrassed and humiliated by her gesture. He believes that accepting the money would be a blow to his pride and dignity as a man trying to provide for his family. Additionally, he wants to preserve his self-respect and not be seen as a charity case by others.
Walter Cunningham Jr. won't take Miss Caroline's quarter because he comes from a family that is struggling financially, and accepting charity, even something as small as a quarter, goes against his principles of self-sufficiency and pride. He knows his family cannot pay back the debt, so he refuses to take what he cannot repay.
The Cunningham's don't have any money to pay back, so Walter won't take the quarter from Miss Caroline. Scout has to explain this to Miss Caroline
Walter Cunningham cannot accept the quarter from Miss Caroline because his family would not be able to pay her back. (Hes exremely poor) Scout explains this to Miss Caroline, that he is a "Cunningham" Since Miss Caroline is new to the town she did not understand and Scout explains to her that the Cunningham's don't take anything they can't pay back. (This happens on Page.20)
She gave a quarter to Walter Cunningham because she didn't know that he was poor and can not pay her back. Walter had lied to her about why he didn't have lunch, and she persisted on giving him the quarter. Scout defends Walter which embarrasses Miss Caroline. The second thing she did that day was command Burris Ewell to go home and take a bath. She listens to the students when they tell her he only comes on the first day of school. Walter may be poor, but he's not a beggar and refuses to take the quarter from Miss Caroline because he knows that he can't pay it back.
