Who is Martha Borg's?

Martha Borg is a Gospel singer at FWC in Baton Rouge, La. She is one of the many Spirit filled and Blessed members of the Family Worship Singers and Choir. She is married to David Borg, one of the Ministers at FWC. And is, I believe, the Aunt of two of the other younger singers... Joseph and Grace Larson, a brother and sister duet. Everyone loves and appreciates the music and singing that comes from this group.

How can you find the version of La Ghirlandeina sung by Frankie in Miller's Crossing?

I don't think you can in short, but you can find Pavarotti's version from the Mamma album which is close. What makes it difficult to track down is that it is called 'A Gramadora' on the album, but it's the same song. It starts out with a full choir, then Pavarotti sings solo, which is close to what you hear in the film, with additional orchestra accompaniment. It took me awhile to find it myself. I hope this helps. Available on iTunes.

Were words ever put to waltz of the flowers?

Yes. My parents own an old LP record with music from the Nutcracker Suite. One of my favorite pieces on the record was the Waltz of the Flowers. A choir was singing words to the music. I loved trying to sing along with it but parts of it were out of my voice range because the notes were so high. The only words I remember off the top of my head are something like "Hark to the woodland call; come to the waltz of the flowers..." Also, toward the last of the piece were the words "Dance flowers dance; dance while the music makes romance..." As a matter of fact, I was trying to find something about those words when I ran across the link which led me to this question. After some creative searching I found a reference to the recording my parents must have had. http://www.billiesilvey.com/classical.html The recording is a choral version of the Nutcracker Suite by Fred Waring and The Pennsylvanians.
