He thought that his rebound relationship with his enemy would work out just fine. Their relationship was pretty much doomed from the start. He was still upset that Rosaline didn't love him back. Then he met his rebound girl Juliet. They make out twice before they even know each other's first names, let alone last names. Later that evening, knowing their parents hate each other's guts, they decide to get married secretly. He thought it would all work out fine because love was on his side, but a lot of things were against it. If the circumstances had been a bit different, it might have just worked out fine to the two young lovers.
