Rizal even asked Pio if they have weapons or enough human resources for that matter, and his answer is none..so i think rizal had just been logically correct in suggesting to postpone it since based on his readings and what he knows, there hasbeen no war won without enough of all of the needed resources.

No Jose Rizal is not an American sponsored hero because he is already a Filipino hero before the Americans chose him ...and lets always remember that Jose Rizal is the soul of revolution.
