Jose Rizal is our national hero but he is not a demi-god as most historians would depict him.
I think stories about Jose Rizal are exaggerated maybe because people tend to relate the concept of "heroism" with perfection (just like how Superman's signature curled hair on the forehead remains neat while flying and fighting).
Jose Rizal, like any human being has flaws too. I've seen real pictures of him taken in black and white. It appears, however, that he is a short fellow (more or less 5-5'2)and not so good looking at all. So, actors like Aga Mulach and Cesar Montano aren't his lookalikes. Too bad, people relate heroes with the tall, dark and handsome type.
Secondly, I know people say that he is a linguistic and knows all major languages in the world. But i guess, it is also another exaggeration. For example, he only spent a few weeks (2 weeks i think but i'm not sure) in Japan and do you think by that time, he could have perfectly spoken Niponggo? That is beyond man!!! I think that he may have some learned conversational Niponggo but it is impossible for him (nor any man) to master a language in such a short span of time.
Historians also say that he is very talented because he is a doctor, architect, etc... Some may be true but i don't think he deserves every job description attached to him. For one thing, in a bio movie, he was shown to have set up an irrigation system when he was exiled in Dapitan. For that, he was called an "architect". My dad has done that before for our farm. Does that make him an architect too then? Think.
Jose Rizal has helped so much in our history but i hope historians will depict him with more reality and sincerity because he deserves to be known as he is. He is our national hero and I hope the future generation will see him the way he should be seen and not as a superhero of some kind. (",)

of course not. it's true. i think that Rizal was intelligent enough to be used by other people or just pretend to be hurt on the trials that he experienced. and that he don't even love our country.
In Chapter 9 of Jose Rizal's life, he reflected on the importance of education in shaping individuals and societies. He highlighted the role of education in empowering people to think critically and advocate for social change. Rizal believed that education was key to breaking free from ignorance and oppression.

yes! i think that Rizal is chick boy because he had so many girls before. there are so many women behind his years.
maybe, because Rizal didn't want to support the katipunan. maybe he wanted revenged but I'm not sure. it is also possible that Bonifacio used Rizal for the password of the katipunan for revenged. but many say that Bonifacio made it Rizal a password because he idolized Rizal. try to read a book about Rizal. i saw one book answered this question i think the title is Jose Rizal w/o the coat?.... I don't really remember the title.
