Nothing. All they do is invite you to far away college conferences... The scholarships they offer aren't very good. You have a slim to none chance of getting any scholarship money. It isn't worth the $60 it costs... They invite people who have below a 3.5 as well, even though on their website it clearly states "those that are selected have obtained above a 3.5". I wouldn't bother..

i got the same invitation to join and i have done some research and it seems to me that the national society of high school scholars is a SCAM. they only want your money, and only a tiny fraction goes into scholarships. the fact that you have to question it at all makes it a shady organization, if i were you than i would NOT get involved in that organization.
