The majority of the times light can be scattered with a certain material- it is glass or a triangular prism made out of glass. How rainbows are made, is the raindrops in the sky catch rays of sunlight and it sort of scatters the light in a explosion of color. This is a way to scatter light. Bending light is very fun to do when you have the materials to create a magnificent light show by manipulating the light-and i learned it in my 6th grade science class but... I don't remember because of how long ago it was!

How is electricity used to produce light?

Electricity is used to produce light by passing through a filament or gas in a light bulb, which causes the material to heat up and emit light. This process is called incandescence.

What causes a ray of light to change direction from one material to the next?

A ray of light changes direction when it enters a material with a different optical density, a property called refraction. This change in direction occurs because the speed of light is different in each material, causing the light to bend as it passes from one medium to another.

How does the structure of a goose-grass help the seeds to be scatterd?

It dosen't

What is a material that does transmit light called?

A material that transmits light is called transparent. Examples of transparent materials include glass, water, and plastic.

The bending of light from one material to another is?

called refraction, which occurs due to a change in the speed of light as it passes from one medium to another. This change in speed causes the light rays to change direction, resulting in the bending of light.

What happens to light when it is absorbed by a material?

When light is absorbed by a material, it is converted into other forms of energy, such as heat or chemical energy. This process causes the material to become warmer or undergo a chemical reaction.

A material that does not let light pass through is called?

An opaque material.

When all light passes through a material what is it called?

When all light passes through a material, it is called transparent. This means that the material allows light to pass through with little or no distortion, making objects on the other side visible.

How light propagates through a material is given by the ratio of the speed of light in vacuum to the speed of light in that material. What is this ratio called?

That is called the dielectric constant, also the square root of the relative permittivity.

What is the name given to a material that gives off electrons when light strikes it?

The material is called a photoemissive material.

Material that transmits some light and blocks some light?

A translucent material transmits some light while diffusing it, allowing some light to pass through but scattering it in different directions. This results in partial visibility through the material, as it both transmits and blocks some light.

What is it called when light goes through materials?

When light goes through materials, it is called transmission. The material can either transmit, absorb, or reflect the light, depending on its properties. Transmission occurs when the light passes through the material without being absorbed or reflected.
