What happens to a substance when the space between the substance's particles increases?

When atoms are separated the substance changes forms. Solid Liquid Gas Plasma These are a few of the forms. The substance becomes more fluid, more easily shaped and compressed. It is able to form new materials, and is easier to ignite.

What is the transfer of heat by the movement of particles from one part of a fluid to another?

Heat transfer by movement of particles from one part of a fluid to another is called convection.

What is the relationship between gas temperature and the velocity of the gas particles in a container?

The average velocity of any container of fluid is zero. But if you are talking about individual particles, the more heat that is added to the fluid the more energetic/faster the particles become.

In particle theory why do fluids flow?

I may be wrong, but i am trying to help. In the particle theory fluids flow because the particle theory states that All matter is composed of particles Particles are in constant motion All articles are attracted to one another Particles move faster as they gain energy So, fluids have particles and depending on how much particles the fluid contains will determine how fast or slow it flows. A fluid will flow faster if the partcles are rubbing against each other and attract to eachother. if they are always moving and trying to do this the subsance will gain energy and flow faster. The opposite if something flows slower. is that an okay answer? hope it is:)

Compare to a cold fluid how would the particles in a hot fluid be moving?

Faster. This assumes the same type of atoms or molecules.
