An idiophone is a musical instrument that produces sound primarily by its own vibrating body, without the use of strings or membranes. Examples of idiophones include bells, xylophones, and cymbals.
Solid mater will vibrate if excited by an input source. If the input source is near the resonant (natural) frequency of the solid it will vibrate with higher magnitude. Resonant frequency will depend on the mass, shape, dimension, material, and support of the solid and can be calculated by mathematical techniques
I think that a solid atom "vibrates" because they're trying to move, but the atoms are packed in so tightly that they do not have much space to move around. So, they vibrate because of their need to move and because fo the lack of space available for them to move
Sound is produced when an object vibrates, creating pressure waves in the air. These pressure waves then travel as sound waves through the air or another medium, such as water or a solid, before reaching our ears. The sound waves cause our eardrums to vibrate, which our brain then interprets as sound.
When their helmets were touching, vibrations from their voices could travel through the helmets and into each other's ears, allowing them to hear each other. This is similar to how a stethoscope works by transmitting sound waves through a solid medium.
An idiophone vibrates when it is scraped, hit, or struck.
Solid
solid only vibrates and liquids are inter mediate between solid and gas.
The atoms vibrate. The atoms of a solid do not move freely, they just vibrate. Hope this helps! :D
yes but not very well they are in one big bunch that vibrates

a insrument
if you put metal in contact with ice, it vibrates to bake the transforming sounds in transformers
