Yes they are.

Biomass includes but is not limited to: bagasse (leftovers from sugar cane processing), wood (often woodchips), agricultural waste, trash and garbage, vegetable oil processing waste (not usable for fodder), vegetable oils (biodiesel), alcohols, peat and other product wastes that are grown. If it is grown it is renewable.
