Yes. Electromagnetic radiation has many uses in hospitals. As you might know the electromagnetic spectrum goes from low frequency (radio waves) to high frequency (gamma waves). High frequency waves carry more energy and penetrate through matter more easily than low frequency waves, this is why nuclear reactors are protected by so much concrete. In hospitals doctors use machines that typically use high frequency waves. These high frequency waves are much higher than the waves used in radios and telecommunications and can sometimes be dangerous if you are exposed for long periods of time however hospitals have found many uses for electromagnetic radiation. For example x-rays are used because they penetrate through the body and can be detected by computers which create images of the inside of a person's body. Gamma rays are usually used for cancer patients because doctors hope the radiation will kill the cancer cells before they kill the patient. Machines such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI s) use magnetic fields and electromagnetic radiations to create images of the body that can't be seen by x-rays. Though these machines can be dangerous if misused they allow doctors to save many lives.
Radio waves have the lowest frequency among electromagnetic radiations.
The shortest electromagnetic wave has been identified with the radiations coming out of a nucleus. It is named as gamma ray.
No, gamma rays have the shortest wavelength among all electromagnetic radiations. They have the highest frequency and highest energy in the electromagnetic spectrum.
Electromagnetic radiations in the visible spectrum, such as infrared, visible light, and near-ultraviolet, can be transmitted through an optical fiber. These wavelengths are compatible with the glass or plastic material of the fiber and capable of traveling long distances with minimal loss.
The band of the electromagnetic spectrum with the highest frequency is gamma rays. Gamma rays have the shortest wavelengths and highest energy levels among all electromagnetic waves.
Radio.
electromagnetic radiations are formed due to the disturbances in electric and magnetic fields which are perpendicular to each other.
Electromagnetic spectrum is formed due to the difference of wavelengths and frequency of electromagnetic radiations as they are orderly distributed.
It blocks the UV part of the electromagnetic radiation. These are harmful radiations.
because they provide different strnght in different region
Yes they can. They are a form of electromagnetic rays and all types of electromagnetic radiations can travel in vacuum
... the ones we call "gamma rays".
The visible spectrum between red and violet.
Radio waves have the lowest frequency among electromagnetic radiations.
X-rays (electromagnetic) and beta/alpha (particulate) are some examples of radiation.
Electromagnetic radiation has both wave and particle properties. There's not really a "why" involved, that's just the way the universe is.
Beta rays are electrons, not electromagnetic.
