Yes, you can convert an R12 station to use R134a refrigerant by completely evacuating the system, replacing any incompatible components, and refilling it with R134a refrigerant. It is important to follow proper procedures and use the correct equipment to ensure the conversion is done safely and effectively. Consulting a professional technician is recommended for this task.
R12 And if you still have this change over to 134a instead of buy r12
r12 but get a 134 kit and change it over for about 35.00 (wallmart) you have to be a regesterd mecanic to get r12
There is only one Freon, and that is R12. R12 Freon came installed in your 1991 Chevy. It may or may not have been changed over to R134 Refrigerant. If not change it over, as the cost of R12 is unbelievably high an is no longer in production.
try using the 134A it's supposed to be compatiable with your r12 that's what i had to do!
Yes, it came from the factory with R12. R12 was used up until late 1995. I suggest you convert it over to R134.
94 is the year most vehicles were in the change-over stage from the factory from r-12 to r134, look for a yellow tag/stick under the hood as to which is in your system. It came from the factory with R12 Freon installed. Unless it has been converted to R134, then it still has R12. Due to the extremely high cost of R12, I suggest you convert it over to R134a.
No you don't have to change the A/C Compressor.
It came with R12 but due to the price of R12, I would convert it over to R134a. You need to fix the leak before the conversion.
It came with r12. There are some aftermarket freon that will work with r12 called freeze12. If the system is empty I would change it over to r134. You would need a different offrice tube also. Did my 90 lesabre about 4 years ago.
There is no need to ever change the refrigerant which is R134 and not Freon R12.
R12 unless it has been converted. I would convert it over to R134 due to the price of R12.
1993-95 for most.
