What would power the fan? What you describe is a "Perpetual Motion" machine, something that needs no energy, or creates its own energy to operate. The reason such things don't work is because of energy loss, usually due to friction or gravity. The fan loses or wastes electrical energy which is turned to heat by friction in its moving parts and by electrical resistance in internal and external wiring. Some energy is also lost in moving the air. The turbine also loses energy from the wind in its own friction before turning it into electricity. When you add up all those losses, the fan requires more energy than the turbine provides.

You can't power a sail boat with an attached fan either, but that's a whole other reason, Newton's 3rd Law of motion.

How much power does a wind turbine create?

The Power Generated by a Wind Turbine entirely depends on the capacity of the turbine which is installed.. there are turbines ranging from 1 watt to 10 MW that can be installed in a wind farm The installation of the turbine depends on the Wind Potential of the area.

How can you generate power using a mini wind turbine?

A mini wind turbine can generate power by converting the kinetic energy in the wind into mechanical power through its rotor blades. The rotating blades spin a shaft inside the turbine, which is connected to a generator that produces electricity. This electricity can then be stored in batteries or fed directly into a power grid.

Which object converts wind power to electricity?

A windmill or a wind turbine. Once there is enough wind the blades turn the generator inside. This generates electricity.

How electricity produce by wind?

A wind turbine, which is installed on top of a tall tower, collects kinetic energy from the wind and converts it to electricity that is compatible with a home's electrical system. In a normal residential application, a home is served simultaneously by the wind turbine and a local utility. If the wind speeds are below the wind turbine's start up speed there will be no output from the turbine and all of the needed power is purchased from the utility. As wind speeds increase, turbine output increases and the amount of power purchased from the utility is proportionately decreased. When the turbine produces more power than the house needs, the extra electricity is sold to the utility (net metering). All of this is done automatically.

How a wind power system produce electricity?

In a wind power system, wind turns the blades of a turbine, causing the rotor to spin. The rotor is connected to a generator, which converts the kinetic energy of the spinning rotor into electrical energy. This electrical energy is then fed into a power grid for distribution.

What is the difference between solar power and wind power?

solar power gets energy from the sun using solar panelsbut wind power uses a wind turbine which catches the wind and spins to create energy/electricity

What do you call a structure that turns wind into energy?

A windmill was a structure that used wind to power a mill (or sometimes to pump water), and a wind turbine is a structure that uses wind to create electrical power.

What exactly is the usage of a residential wind turbine?

A residential wind turbine is basically a mini wind turbine that is designed to provide power to the users. It basically provides power for the neighborhood to use.

What do you need to make wind power?

a turbine and wind!

How can you create a wind turbine and photo voltaic cell hybrid model to generate 2 watt power?

To create a wind turbine and photo voltaic cell hybrid model to generate 2 watt power you must set up a photo-voltaic solar-cell array and a mast mounted wind generator.

What kind of energy are wind turbine generators used to create?

Wind turbine generators are used to convert the kinetic (movement) energy of the wind directly into electrical energy, which is used to power electrical appliances and needs no further conversion.

What do we call the tool to create wind energy?

The tool that is used to create wind energy is called a wind turbine.

How do wind farms create power?

There is a turbine in the wind mill. When the wind turns the blades on the wind mill, the generator inside cranks backwards createing power. The way it does this is that it turns a copper wire inside. One mill can create enough power for -currently- 90 homes. If there is alot of wind in that area that year.

How many homes does one wind turbine power?

one wind turbine can produce enough energy to power 10000 houses with the right amount of wind.
