There is an easier way to solve your wiring problem. If the factory harness plug is intact you can pick up an adaptor which will allow you to plug in an aftermarket stereo directly to the factory harness. These adaptors are readily available at most car audio dealers and most of the big box retail stores like corcuit city and best buy. The sell for around $15 to $20 and are very simple to hook up. This also allows you to put the factory radio back in quicly and easily when you sell the car.
