The word "medium" has several meanings. For example:

- Copper is a medium that an electric current can pass. Copper is real.

- Water is a medium that bacteria can spread through. Water is real.

- Paint on canvas make up a medium for artistic expression.

- Radio, TV, and newspapers are medium for information. These are all real.

I can think of one kind of medium that is probably bogus. That would be a person who claims to communicate with dead people or other supernatural spirits. But some people believe these mediums are also real.
