Depends on the ink. Some are effected more than others. We currently have an issue with the UV light from a finishing lacquer process bleaching the magenta ink giving the final print a green tint! Not idea...
We are looking at changing the ink supply as this didn't effect the ink we used previously. There is not much else you can do.

UV curing is a process where ultraviolet light is used to instantly cure or harden materials like inks, adhesives, and coatings. This is achieved by a chemical reaction called photopolymerization. UV curing is commonly used in industries such as printing, automotive, electronics, and medical devices for applications like printing, bonding, and coating.
Yes, UV light and UV rays refer to the same thing - ultraviolet radiation. UV radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation that is not visible to the human eye. UV light or UV rays are terms used to describe this form of radiation.
Ultraviolet (UV) light bulbs emit UV rays.
UV light itself does not produce heat, so it is not hot. UV light is a type of electromagnetic radiation that is invisible to the human eye.
To create a UV light source at home, you can purchase a UV LED light strip or bulb online or at a hardware store. You can also repurpose a UV light from a nail salon or purchase a UV flashlight. Be sure to follow safety precautions when using UV light sources, as prolonged exposure can be harmful to your eyes and skin.
The ink used for label printing depends on the type of printing being done and who is doing it. For at home use it is the typical printer ink. Commercially it may be dye based, a UV cured ink, thermochromic ink, or an ultraviolet ink just to name a few.
When ink is exposed to sunlight it can be bleached out by it due to the UV-rays of the light. The energetiv UV-light is able to split up oxygen molecules O-O into so called radicals O2 --UV--> 2 O. this atomar oxygen is very reactive an destroys the ink, more chemically: it oxidises the ink. It's in a way quite the same when you're washing clothes with bleach to remove tomatoe taints or so - there are formed radicals from the bleach which oxidise the color molecules of the tomatoe and destroy it this way to leave a bright piece of cloth after wash.
UV printing offers several advantages over traditional printing methods, which is why it’s quickly becoming the go-to solution for businesses in Pakistan. Here’s what makes UV printing stand out: Faster Drying Times: Traditional printing methods typically rely on evaporation or absorption to dry the ink, which can take hours. In contrast, UV printing uses ultraviolet light to instantly cure the ink, significantly speeding up the production process and reducing waiting times. Enhanced Print Quality: UV printing produces vibrant, sharp, and high-resolution prints that are far superior to what can be achieved through traditional methods. The prints are resistant to fading, ensuring that colors remain bright even when exposed to light and weather conditions. Ability to Print on Diverse Materials: UV printing can be used on almost any material, including non-porous surfaces like glass, acrylic, metal, and plastic. This versatility allows businesses in Pakistan to create customized products, signage, and promotional items that traditional printing methods cannot handle. Eco-Friendly: Traditional printing often involves chemicals and solvents that are harmful to the environment. UV printing uses less ink and fewer solvents, making it a more eco-conscious option for businesses seeking sustainable solutions. Durability: UV-printed materials are highly durable and resistant to wear and tear, making them perfect for products that need to withstand harsh conditions. Whether it's outdoor signage or industrial labels, UV prints hold up better than traditional printed materials. These advantages make UV printing an appealing option for businesses across Pakistan looking for efficient, high-quality, and eco-friendly printing solutions.
Resin can be cured using UV light by exposing it to ultraviolet light, which triggers a chemical reaction that hardens the resin. This process is known as UV curing and is commonly used in industries such as 3D printing and manufacturing.
Printing Terminology. ... Blanket: The thick rubber mat on a printing press that transfers ink from the plate to paper. Coating tower: A special unit at the end of the press used to apply Aqueous and UV coatings. Color bar: A quality control term regarding the spots of ink color on the tail of a sheet.

One can purchase UV ink for tattoos online at sites such as Body Art Jewelry Tattoos, Amazon, Light in the Box, and eBay. One can also purchase tattoo ink at Joker Tattoo and Wicked Tattoo Supply.
Screen printing is the best print method for printing outdoor materials, laying down the thickest coating of ink, but other print methods using long lasting UV inks can work as well. http://www.ezeeprinting.com
Special ink, that shows under UV light, is used as a security feature, proving that the banknote is genuine.
Tonic water does not glow when mixed with green highlighter ink because the quinine in tonic water, responsible for fluorescence under UV light, is not reactive to the wavelength of light emitted by the green highlighter ink. The fluorescent properties of quinine are specific to certain wavelengths of UV light, which the green highlighter ink does not produce.
They are polymers often used with inks and also tooth repair. The monomers chosen are those that will polymerize on exposure to UV light radiation. In the case of an ink, after it is applied it is usually passed under a UV light to cure it. Similarly, after the tooth is filled, UV light is applied to harden it.
UV Curing System(of coating by ultraviolet radiation) is a cross chemical reaction when UV varnish or ink is applied to object and when it passes through UV light it gets cured instantly. It is basically a Polymerization of UV Lacquer on object through UV Light. UV Curing System is available in different sizes and power. It can process through Sheet Fed.
