A high pitched sound has more cycles per second (frequency) than a low pitched sound. This means that the vibration of the sound wave occurs more rapidly for a high pitched sound compared to a low pitched sound.
A soft high-pitched sound is typically produced by vibrations that are quick and gentle, resulting in a higher frequency of waves. This sound may be generated by objects or instruments that are smaller or thinner, or by using less force when creating the sound. The pitch of the sound is determined by the frequency of the vibrations, with higher pitches being produced by faster vibrations.
high note has high frequency (cycles per second) . Low note has low frequency. The sound originated by a high frequency note oscillates more times per second, while a low frequency note oscillates less times per second.
When there is less water in a glass cup, the air inside the cup vibrates more easily, creating a higher-pitched sound when the cup is hit. The sound frequency is determined by the amount of air inside the cup and the material of the cup.
Low amplitude sound waves produce quieter sounds that are less intense and have lower volume. They are typically perceived as softer and less powerful compared to high amplitude sounds.
The difference is that an audible sound can be heard, an inaudible can't. The human ear can detect vibrations between 20 and 20,000 cycles per second (for a young person; for an old person the range is less), so that range would be audible, anything outside that range is inaudible. The difference is that an audible sound can be heard, an inaudible can't. A whistle makes a high sound because of the short length of the whistle's tube, which amplifies high-frequency sounds. When air is blown into the whistle and vibrates at a high frequency, it produces a high-pitched sound.
My idea is that the water vibrates and sends sound waves through out the water and up the bottle creating the echo. I think that the more water the more high pitched the sound because since in water there are less particles to interfere with sound waves and water muffles sound. So in the bottles with less water the sound is deeper and lower pitched because the sound waves are mostly reverberating against the bottle.
Helium gas is commonly used to make voices sound high pitched and squeaky. This effect occurs because helium is less dense than air, causing sound waves to travel faster and change the pitch of your voice.
slows down in denser mediums & speeds up in less dense ones this explains why ur voice is so high pitched when u inhale a less dense gas like helium & why sound is deep & distorted underwater.
Yes. In cat language (Meow). Sometimes, a cat will make sound that sound like singing! Maybe their purring sounds like a tune!
It all depends on how a drum is made, and what it is made of. For example, a small steel drum is going to be loud and high pitched, while a large drum made of a soft wood such as birch is going to be low pitched and will give off less volume.
The trumpet in general is a higher pitched instrument because it is smaller and has less tubing.

So-called "fast vibrations" cause "high pitched" sounds. Very fast vibrations cause very high pitched sound. Slow vibrations cause low pitched sound. You get the picture. The "speed" of vibrations relates to the frequency of the sound that is produced by them.
Wave length is smaller in high frequencies.. hence a higher pitched sound...Example, when you blow on the tip of a beer bottle, when its empty, the vibration travels all the way down the bottle and back up, hence a 'deeper' sound. the more you fill the bottle, the less room the vibrations have to move up and down the bottle, making the wave length much smaller, making the frequency higher, and the resulting sound higher pitched.
