well i wouldn't realy call it pull. but they slide down. for example u place a toy car at the top of the slope then let it go. see what happens... the higher it goes the faster it rolls down!

Why do some objects roll down faster than other objects?

The rate at which objects roll down a slope depends on their mass, shape, and surface area in contact with the slope. Objects with less mass, a more streamlined shape, and less friction with the surface will roll down faster due to lower resistance to motion.

Does lighter objects fall down faster then heavier objects?

No lighter things do not fall faster than heavier things. In a vacuum they will fall at the same speed. Normally the heavier thing will fall down faster because of its weight. Sometimes the lighter thing falls faster depending on the air resistance.

Does friction cause objects to move faster or fly higher?

Friction slows down the motion of objects, so it does not cause them to move faster or fly higher. In fact, more friction can make it harder for objects to reach high speeds or heights.

Why do objects with more mass fall faster?

Objects with more mass have greater inertia, which means they are more resistant to changes in motion. Therefore, when objects fall, the force of gravity acting on them is unable to slow down the acceleration of more massive objects as much as it does for less massive ones, causing them to fall faster.

What speeds or slows down infiltration?

Factors that can speed up infiltration include permeable soils, gentle slopes, and sparse vegetation that allow water to easily penetrate the ground. Conversely, factors that can slow down infiltration include compacted soils, steep slopes, and dense vegetation that restrict water from entering the ground. Additionally, the presence of impermeable layers or human activities like paving can also impede infiltration.

Why soils don't form on steep slopes?

Soils don't form on steep slopes because the rate of erosion outweighs the rate of soil formation. The steep gradient causes water to wash away any accumulating soil particles before they have a chance to develop into mature soil. This process results in shallow or no soil development on steep slopes.

Does material travel faster when the river is flowing down a steep slope or across flat land?

it flows faster on a steep slope

Does material travel faster when the river is flowing down a steep slop or across flat land?

Material will travel faster in a river flowing down a steep slope. As the water slows down, the material will also slow down.

How do you compare slopes math wise?

Mathwise, you would want to represent a slope with a number, in such a way that the steeper slope would have a larger number. That way, you could look at the numbers of two or more slopes, and just from the numbers, you could tell mathwise which slope is more steep or less steep, and whether it slopes up or down.

Which Weakenes rock on steep slopes that suddenly gives away and falls down is an example of what?

That is an example of a rockfall, which is a type of mass wasting where rocks or rock fragments fall freely through the air. This process is common on steep slopes where loose rocks are unstable and can easily become dislodged and fall.

How can steep slopes cause flooding?

if the slopes are steep and if it rains the rain will quickly travel down the slope and into the river- if it rains a lot eventually a flood would be caused because the river cannot take too much water- a way to prevent this is too build a dam there so the water can go down to the river at a slow pace. :) hope this helps a lot

Why do Japan's volcanoes have steep slopes?

because japans volcanoes explode. So therefore, the magma does not flow down the volcano making it flat and smooth.

Does a car go faster going down bigger slopes?

If the angle of incline or distance is greater yes.

Why does a skateboard go faster on a steep hill?

its not exactly the skate board. Its how you use your momentum. Even if you do not use momentum gravity will pull u faster down a steep ramp.

What causes rocks to break away from steep mountain slopes and accumulate as scree slopes?

Rocks break away from steep mountain slopes due to weathering and erosion processes, including freeze-thaw cycles, where water seeps into cracks, freezes, and expands, causing the rocks to fracture. Gravity plays a significant role, as loose material becomes unstable and falls down the slope. Additionally, seismic activity and human impacts can trigger rockfalls, contributing to the accumulation of debris at the base of the slopes, forming scree slopes. These slopes are characterized by an accumulation of angular rock fragments that have fallen from higher elevations.

How do you slide down the slopes in meteorite falls in Pokemon Emerald?

There are slopes that can be slide down. But some of those slopes cannot. The slopes which you can slide down where the ones with lesser height. Slopes with greater height cannot be used to slide down.

Does skiing and snowboarding go on the same slopes?

No. Snowboard cross is a downhill sport, but the slopes are not any where near as steep as downhill racing - snowboarding on an Olympic level downhill ski course would be suicide.
