You have to build a large number of turbines to get a decent amount of energy, and it takes up land that could be used for agriculture (although for livestock this isn't a problem). Some also complain that they are an eyesore, but anyone living or working that close to a wind turbine field probably has a choice.

Low frequency noise and light flickering through the blades can be a problem to near neighbours. They should be compensated if they are to become more widespread and improve their press reports.

Does energy come from wind?

Yes, wind energy is generated from the kinetic energy of the wind. This energy can be harnessed using wind turbines to generate electricity.

Are Wind farms used to transform the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy?

Wind turbines (in a wind farm) convert kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy. Not to be confused with wind mills - that turn the kinetic energy of the wind into mechanical energy.

Is wind energy created by wind tubines?

Yes, wind energy is created by wind turbines. Wind turbines convert the kinetic energy of the wind into electrical energy by spinning a generator. This renewable energy source is harnessed to generate electricity for various applications.

What are the good and bad points about wind?

Good points: Wind is a renewable energy source that is abundant and widely available. It produces no greenhouse gas emissions during operation and helps reduce reliance on fossil fuels. Bad points: Wind energy can be intermittent, as wind speeds can vary. Wind turbines can also have visual and noise impacts on local communities and wildlife, and infrastructure costs can be high.

How is wind energy transferred?

Wind energy is transferred by wind mills.
