Diving uses gravitational energy to make the diver fall, and chemical energy to enable the diver to control his or her muscles while diving.
The force of gravity increases your potential energy as you increase your distance from the Earth's surface. Therefore, when you climb to the top of a diving board you have more potential energy due to gravity than you had on the ground.
Energy Management Systems use many different types of meters. Energy Management Systems install and supply gas meters, water meters, and electric meters.

Mechanical energy is used in generators to create electrical energy. It is used in manual labor, and anything that requires movement such as levers and rope-and-pulley systems.

There are two diving boards used at the Olympics. One is the 3 Metre springboard; the other the 10 Metre platform.
In the Olympics, and other high level diving events such as the NCAA Championships or US Diving Championships, only one platform is competed -- the 10 meter platform. There are, however, other platform levels that are routinely used. In junior US diving or AAU meets, the 5 meter and 7.5 meter platforms are also commonly used. Divers often use these lower platforms to train, learn new dives, and brush up on basic skills. Many training pools also have a 1 meter and 3 meter platform for training purposes. Young divers can learn skills like armstands or platform take-offs from these heights. However, the 1 and 3 meter platforms are not used in competition.

At the Olympics the only diving boards used are the 10 metre platform and the 3 metre springboard. At other competitions Olympians could also compete in the 1 metre board event but this is not an Olympic event. In club events, junior events and some national events, Olympic divers could also use the 5 metre platform and the 7.5 metre platform. In training there is sometimes a 3 metre platform available, which is not used in competitions.
