This is because a right handed turn causes his girlfriend to move towards him (the driver) due to centrifugal acceleration. Left handed turns will push her closer to her door, or away from her boyfriend.
Depending on the distance that separates the boy and his girlfriend depends on his enjoyment factor. Therefore, since right handed turns make his girlfriend closer to him, he enjoys them more.
