friction is one of the most important phenomena in the universe... w/o friction life on earth would be impossible.... we can walk due to friction because earth offers resistance to the motion of our feet thus applyin reaction to uor action of applying force to the earths surface and propelling us forward... this is just one example an we need friction in almost every activity..........

Can friction be important?

when i am ask is friction important i say the answer is yes. friction is important and can help people in many different ways. like cars for a example cars use friction to drive on the road. there is many different types of friction to; dry friction, fluid friction, lubricated friction, skin friction, internal friction, ect..... all of these types of frictions can be different a different way.

Why is friction important in lives?

Friction is important in our lives because it allows us to walk, drive, and move objects. Without friction, we would not be able to grip surfaces, making everyday activities challenging. Additionally, friction helps stop moving objects and prevent slipping or sliding.

Why sliding friction is important?

Sliding friction is important because it allows us to walk, drive vehicles, and engage in various activities that require friction between surfaces. It helps to prevent slipping and skidding by providing the necessary grip and traction. Sliding friction also plays a crucial role in machinery and industrial processes where controlled friction is needed for proper functioning.

What activities would you want less friction?

Activities like driving, exercising, and collaborating with others would benefit from less friction.

How is friction important in your lives?

when you walk; wheels roll to move cars; you grasp something in your hand; cars brake; these are all because of friction. Really there are advantages of friction.

Why is Friction is important to your life?

Friction is important in everyday life because it allows us to walk, hold objects, drive vehicles, play sports, and much more. It helps in controlling the speed of moving objects, prevents slipping or sliding, and is essential for various mechanical functions. Without friction, it would be challenging to perform basic tasks and activities efficiently.

Activities that require increasing and decreasing friction?

Activities that require increasing friction can include using sandpaper to roughen a surface or tightening the grip of shoes with a shoelace. Activities that involve decreasing friction can include applying lubricant to machine parts or gliding on ice skates with a thin layer of water on the ice.

Why is important to reduce friction at moveable joints?

Reducing friction at movable joints helps to improve movement efficiency, reduce wear and tear on the joint surfaces, and decrease the risk of injuries such as strains and sprains. This is especially important for athletes and individuals involved in physical activities that place repeated stress on the joints.

Why friction important to your daily living?

Friction is important because without friction we would be sliding and slipping everywhere as friction slows down and stops things. Friction occurs when two things touch or make contact.

What is the mathematical equation for friction?

An important formula is that friction = (coefficient of friction) x (normal force).

What are the ways on how to overcome the effects of friction in performing task daily activities?

To overcome the effects of friction in daily activities, you can use lubricants such as oil or grease to reduce friction between surfaces. Using proper tools and equipment designed for the task can also help minimize friction. Additionally, maintaining the equipment by cleaning and lubricating it regularly can reduce friction and improve performance.

Where on a bicycle is friction not important?

In the bearings, where you want as little friction as possible.
