If water at 0oC is heated, it will contract, instead of expanding. This contratction will continue till 4oC. After 4oC, water will behave as normal substance and start to expand.
A pot of water heating on a stove.
Motion of ions in a battery, or the motion of a charged particle in cyclotron; muscle contraction in tissue, the frog's leg twitch.
Can you give an example of time and motion study?
They dont
Heating food in a microwave: Electromagnetic radiation energy in the form of microwaves cause increased vibration of bonds in water molecules resulting in the increased heat production.

sodium carbonate doesn't give any gas on heating. its sodium bi-carbonate which gives co2 on heating.
When u do an experiment, there are loads of different observations. For example heating Copper 2 sulphate observations: Copper 2 sulphate is blue before heating. When u heat it, it turns white. There is some condensation. These are basically observations. It just means what can you see.
On heating a saturated solution it becomes unsaturated because heating causes kinetic energy to increase the distance between the molecules of liquid. Thus the solute takes free space present in the solvent. That is why saturates solution becomes unsaturated upon heating.
