There are photoreceptor cells in retina. They get stimulated by light. They stimulate the nerve and signal is passed to brain for processing. By interpretation of that signal you can see the object.

Light has to be scattered from an object and the light has to be detected by the eye. The light from the object goes past your cornea and it reaches your retina. An image forms on the retina (upside down) and is processed through the optic nerves and to the brain. Rod and cones also help by detecting color (cones) and help in dim light (rods).

First, the light passes through the cornea. the light then passes through the pupil. It then travels through the lens. Muscles bends the lens to focus the image. Rods and Cones are what detects light. They are pigments that are light sensitive. Rods detect dim light and cones detect bright lights.

Several electronic components have been developed that are sensitive to

electromagnetic radiation of various wavelengths, and most of them can be

tailored to respond actively to visible light.

And of course, you have a pair of highly effective detectors that you carry around

with you wherever you go.

How is sound waves sensed?

As a result of its viberation

What three ways can differ electromagnetic waves from sound waves?

Electromagnetic waves are transverse in nature where as sound waves are longitudinal. Electromagnetic waves can pass even through vacuum but sound waves are mechanical waves that means it needs badly a material medium Sound waves can be sensed by ear where as electromagnetic waves are sensed by eyes.

How are sound waves sensed?

Sound is vibration that propagates to be a audible mechanical wave. It uses pressure and displacement, through air or water to be sensed whether by hearing or feeling.

How is a seismic wave sensed?

seismic waves are sensed with these special technology monitors that have the power of bats . bats cant see but when there going towards something they feel vibrations then they know were there going

How do we sense most infrared waves?

Infra red is sensed as heat on the skin.

The intensity of light waves is a measure of what?

The intensity of light waves is a measure of the energy that is carried by the waves. Light waves are electromagnetic waves.

How are light waves created?

light is not composed of waves .it is a form of energy . i think the waves in light are not created because there is no reason for the creation of waves in light

How are ultraviolet waves different from light waves?

Ultraviolet waves are smaller than light waves.

How do light waves differ from seismic waves?

light waves are transversal, seismic waves are longitudinal.

Are sound waves stronger than light waves?

No because light waves are stronger and brighter and sound waves are light and dull

Do all light waves emit radiation?

Light waves do not emit radiation, light waves are radiation.

How do sound waves travel compared to light waves?

light waves fast
