They aren't. Unless, of course, someone makes an extremely high-powered radio signal emitter. Otherwise, they go right through your body or around it. If you think of a normal radio, it receives signals in any place, and if you replace it with your body, nothing happens. Radio waves pass through you every day all the time, and they don't harm you.

Higher frequency Electromagnetic radiation can be harmful though. As an example, gamma rays can damage your cells badly, and exposure to any high energy radiation can be harmful. The good thing to know though is that radio waves are the lowest frequency and largest wavelength type of electromagnetic radiation (meaning less energy typically) compared to the extremely high frequency and short wavelength of gamma rays.

Are radio waves transverse waves or longitudinal waves?

Transverse. Radio waves are electromagnetic waves, which are transverse.

Can you explain how radio waves compare to visible light waves?

Radio waves and visible light waves are both forms of electromagnetic radiation, but they differ in terms of their frequencies and wavelengths. Radio waves have longer wavelengths and lower frequencies compared to visible light waves. This means that radio waves have lower energy and are used for communication purposes, such as broadcasting radio signals. Visible light waves, on the other hand, have shorter wavelengths and higher frequencies, allowing us to see the colors of the spectrum.

What energy transformations take place in a radio?

In a radio, electrical energy from a power source is converted into electromagnetic energy (radio waves) by the transmitter. The radio's antenna captures these radio waves and converts them back into electrical signals, which are then converted into sound waves by the speakers, thus transforming the energy back into sound energy for us to hear.

Where do you find radio-waves?

They are all around us. Radio waves are emitted by radio and television stations; they are also used by wireless communications (for example, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). We also receive radio waves from outer space; for example, from AGNs (active galactic nuclei).

Are electromagnetic waves that are felt as heat are called radio waves?

No, electromagnetic waves that are felt as heat are called infrared waves, not radio waves. Radio waves have lower frequencies and longer wavelengths than infrared waves.

Radio waves do what to the radio so that we may heat them?

Radio waves are electromagnetic waves that carry energy. When these waves are absorbed by the radio's antenna, they induce electrical currents in the circuitry of the radio. This process allows the radio to convert the energy from the radio waves into sound, enabling us to hear broadcasts. However, radio waves themselves do not heat; it is the conversion of that energy into electrical signals that allows the radio to function.

Radio waves and useful of radio?

how are radio waves be used- well they are used by sound waves like as in u can hear sond waves but radio waves is where you are in the car and u are listening for instance capital fm that is radio waves Hope It Helped Hennddyyyy:) :D

Does mechinal waves have radio waves?

no, mechanical waves are not radio waves

How are electromagnetic waves different to radio waves?

Radio waves ARE electromagnetic waves.

Are radio waves transverse waves or longitudinal waves?

Transverse. Radio waves are electromagnetic waves, which are transverse.

Are radar waves visible?

No. Radar waves are one category of radio waves. Think of all the radio waves that are all around you right now . . . AM radio, FM radio, police and fire radio, highway patrol radio, taxi radio, television picture and sound radio waves, cellphone radio waves, garage-door-opener radio waves, bluetooth radio waves, WiFi waves, microwaves ... and you can't see any of them ! Radar waves can easily be there in the group.
