Since they seem to be elementary particles, perhaps they have no such thing as a diameter - you might thing of them as "point-like". This issue isn't settled yet; from the Wikipedia article on elementary particles: "For mathematical purposes, elementary particles are normally treated as point particles, although some particle theories such as string theory posit a physical dimension."

The volume of a sphere is 4/3 (pi) (R)3 .The volume of each of the 8 spheres is 4/3 (pi) (0.5)3 .That's (pi/6) mm3 each and 4pi/3 mm3 all together. To find the size of the combined sphere, start againwith the volume formula and solve it for the radius:V = 4/3 pi R3Multiply each side by 3/4 :3/4 V = pi R3Divide each side by pi :3V/4pi = R3Take the cube root of each side:R = the cube root of (3V/4pi)Up above, we wound up with a volume of 4pi/3 mm3 .So the radius of our new sphere iscube root of (3V/4pi) = cube root of (3/4pi x 4pi/3) = cube root of (1) = 1 mm==========================Check the answer (and a much easier way in whichthe answer could have been found):-- Volume of a sphere = 4/3 pi R3 .Notice that the volume is proportional to the cube of the radius, and therefore also to the cube of the diameter.-- The volume of the big sphere was 8 times the volume of the little ones.So the big diameter should be the cube root of 8 times the small diameter.-- The cube root of 8 is 2.The small diameter is 1.The big diameter should be 2 x 1 = 2 .-- I calculated the big radius as 1.-- Yay !
it depends how big the foot is.
Depends on how big the pond is and how much water the fish drink. Well, ummm lets see now there are 16 oz in a lb. So thats 16x3 and that makes it 48!
Nuclear explosive devices have been constructed in sizes from as small as 6 inches in diameter to as large as 80 feet tall by 20 feet in diameter. In other words, they can be nearly any size.
Sizes vary for commercial nuclear reactors, an approximate size would be about 15 feet in diameter by 50 feet tall

you would be really huge
They were 23 feet 6 inches in diameter.114 inchesas big as a winmill
The diameter of Jupiter is 142,984km.
unlikely, but it would need serious studies humans are unable to reach for hundreds of years, there are quite a few big big steps to that
Twelve inches is a length. It can be a diameter, but if it is a diameter, you would simply say 'The circle is 12 inches diameter'. So; how big is it - it is 12 inches.
The diameter of Jupiter is 142,984km.
It is a diameter of 39.37 cm.
The Sun's diameter is about 109 times the Earth's diameter.

It is as big as a big potato chip
The entire earth's diameter is 88,850 miles
