There may be a small propeller on the opposite side to the main sails or there may be a vane to turn the windmill. See the examples in the links below. Older windmills typically have a simpler design with smaller blades and lower efficiency compared to newer windmills. New windmills are larger and more advanced, with improved technology and taller towers to capture stronger winds at higher altitudes. Additionally, newer windmills can generate more electricity due to enhanced power conversion systems.
What is the phobia of windmills called? Experts say that the fear of windmills is called Anemophobia and/or Ancraophobia
No. Windmills have their blades angled in such a way as to catch moving air or wind. When the wind hits the blades it pushes them and they spin, which then gets other gears of the windmill turning, which then generate energy for whatever it is they need that energy to do. So the windmills themselves do not make wind or "blow".
No, windmills do not spin faster in light winds. Windmills require a minimum wind speed to start spinning, and their speed is determined by the wind's strength. In lighter winds, windmills may not generate as much electricity as in stronger winds.
Well.. In the "old days" windmills would provide the energy to power machines for producing clothing, food & farming requirements. Back then, the windmills didn't rely on "the grid" which is the way we get electricity now. It wasn't connected then and the power simply came from the wind blowing the large "fan" in a direction, which then moved a gear connected to the fan connected to a machine. Now the windmills are much more sophisticated and rely on many bases of electricity in some form. This is so we can all have access to it. So back then they were really effective in the principle of being a "windmill" . How are they now? We don't know the answer to that yet because we are not relying on them for anything immediately significant today.
Modern windmills and wind turbines are equipped with devices that turn the blades to face into the wind.
They don't. They way windmills turn is based on their design and the prevailing winds where they are built. Windmills in Ireland are no different than others in the world.
many people in the world do. that's all i know.

Windmills are a good way to use wind energy
Windmills are stupid fans that slice birds and stand in the way...
if you don't know try a straw or a hair blower or something that make win by Brandon ruiz to people like me that are comfused thank you!!!!!!! :) :) :)

face-to-face. let that person know that you have the guts to ask that person out face-to-face and let that person know that you're just not like every other guy/girl. good luck =)
windmills are there to help save energy and renew electricity.
They are working in the same way that a hairdryer drys your hair. Simple.
Yes, there are lots of windmills in Europe.
