Many (most) books of tables listing logs also list cosines. First look up the cosine, and then look up that number in the log lists. The answer is the log-cosine - I hope that's what you mean.

Why when you walk on a log that is floating on the water does the log move backwards?

Newton's Law - For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. In order for you to move forward, there must be a force going backward. That is evidenced by the backward motion of the log.

How action and reaction forces are work when a frog jumps from a log?

When a frog jumps from a log, it pushes against the log with a force (action force) which propels it forward. Simultaneously, the log exerts an equal and opposite force (reaction force) back on the frog, enabling it to launch into the air. This is in accordance with Newton's third law of motion - for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What are the properties of floating log of wood transported by water?

From the information you've provided ... that the log floats in water and is being transported by it ... the only properties that can be inferred are: -- The density of the log, in its aggregate entirety, is less than that of the water. -- The vertical dimension of the portion of the log below the water's surface is less than the depth of the water.
