What is the difference between the colours black and ebony?

While "Black" is the generic name for a colour, or a particular segment of the colour spectrum, "Ebony" refers to a specific colour. Since the name "Ebony" also refers to the dense wood ebony, commonly from the genus Diospyros, in colour terms would refer to a particular red- or dark brown-tinged black.

Why are tires always black?

During the process of vulcanisation of rubber to make it sheer resistant to make tyres out of it, a certain proportion of carbon is mixed into it. Without this procedure the tyres will not be able to withstand the friction n stress of the road. This carbon is responsible for giving tyres the characteristic black colour.. When ozone combines with ultraviolet light from the sun, it attacks the tire polymer. To prevent tires from rapidly deteriorating, a sacrificial absorber is used, "carbon black" - which, fittingly, makes tires black

What will happen if you print color on a black card?

Depends on the type of pigment you use, a transparent (see through) ink will not show on the card and it will remain black, if you use an opaque colour(not see through) then the colour will appear as printed, all printers on a computer use transparent (four colour process pigments C,M,Y,K (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) so therefore cannot be printed on black card. Commercially you would underlay the colour you wanted to be printed with a white opaque ink so that when overprinted with the colour or colours of choice they would show up properly
