To use a curling iron with a clamp, first, plug it in to heat up. Section your hair and starting at the root, clamp a small section of hair between the barrel and the clamp. Twist the iron downwards to wrap the hair around the barrel, hold for a few seconds, then release the curl. Repeat on the rest of your hair. Make sure to be careful with the hot iron to avoid burns.
I have thick straight hair and what i do is use hairspray and spray before i do the area im curling and then it usually stays longer. Also, to make it extra curly pull the top layer of hair in to a little ponytail and do the bottom. Then let it drop and curl the top layer. Yes, spraying your hair lightly with water before curling can help create more defined curls, especially if your hair doesn't hold curls well. The water helps set the curl and adds moisture for a smoother finish. Just make sure not to soak your hair, as excessive moisture can cause the curls to fall flat.
To achieve a perfect curl using a curling iron, start by selecting the right size barrel for your desired curl size. Begin by sectioning your hair and wrapping small sections around the barrel, holding for a few seconds before releasing. Make sure to curl away from your face for a natural look. Finish with a light hold hairspray to set the curls in place.
Relaxed hair tends to be smoother and straighter, which can make it appear denser and thicker than curled hair. The chemical treatments used to relax hair can also contribute to a heavier feeling due to the alteration of the hair's structure. Additionally, products used to maintain straightened hair, such as oils or serums, can add extra weight.
Make sure your synthetic hair is completely dry before curling it. Separate the hair into sections. Hold one section of hair in one hand and wrap a section of the hair around the barrel of a curling iron. Secure the hair with the clamp and hold the curling iron in place for 10 to 15 seconds. Release the hair from the curling iron and allow it to cool. Repeat these steps on each section of hair until all of the hair is curled. Once all the hair is curled, use a light hairspray to secure the curl
