Difficult to explain without diagrams, but the micrometer relies on an accurate screw which advances the caliper a precise amount with each revolution. So you turn the screw until the object is lightly held, then read the axial scale and add on for the number of screw turns above the nearest scale reading. The most accurate type also have a vernier scale for very small distances. I suggest you look at Wikipedia 'Micrometer' which has a thorough explanation with diagrams.
1 Micrometer = 1000 Nanometers. 50 Nanometers = 1000/50 Micrometers = 20 Micrometers.
75 micrometers = 0.00295275591 inches

Google calculator can be used for this - type your question into the google seach box.The returned answer is:424 nanometers = 0.424 micrometers
There are 7 fundamental units in S.I system .Thus ,for unit of length and mass and conversion ,the relations are given . We can say that 1 cm=10000 um . Hence ,c m > um .Micrometers are less than cm.
To convert 0.055 to micrometers, you need to clarify the unit of measurement. If 0.055 is in meters, then there are 55,000 micrometers in 0.055 meters (since 1 meter = 1,000,000 micrometers). If 0.055 is already in micrometers, then it remains 0.055 micrometers.
One tenth of 4200 micrometers is 420 micrometers.
There are 64,000 micrometers in 64 millimeters. 64 millimeters x 1000 micrometers/1 millimeter = 64,000 micrometers 1 millimeter = 1000 micrometers
25,400 micrometers
17,075,270,000,000,000,000,000,000 micrometers
There are 1,000 micrometers in one millimeter.
1 Micrometer = 1000 Nanometers. 50 Nanometers = 1000/50 Micrometers = 20 Micrometers.
1m = 1,000,000 micrometers 100 micrometers x (1m/1,000,000 micrometers) = 1 x 10-4m, or 0.0001m
75 micrometers = 0.00295275591 inches
730 micrometers
325000 micrometers
There are 1,000 micrometers in a nanometer.
