To increase friction, the car goes faster so that the air resistance becomes greater. To decrease friction the car goes slower to decrease the air resistance acting on the car.

Hope that helped:)

How does angle effect force of friction?

The force of friction between two surfaces increases as the angle between the surfaces increases, up to a certain point. This is because the component of the force perpendicular to the surfaces (normal force) increases as the angle increases, which in turn increases the maximum force of static friction that can be applied. Beyond a certain angle, the force of friction decreases due to the decreasing normal force.

When does friction decrease?

Friction will decrease if the coefficient of friction decreases. This can be caused by having a smother surface up to a point. (When two surface are TOO smooth the friction actually increases due to molecular attraction.)

Reducing friction in a machine increases or decreases?

Reducing friction in a machine typically increases its efficiency and performance by reducing the amount of energy wasted as heat. This can lead to smoother operation, less wear and tear on components, and overall improved functioning of the machine.

What happens to the friction force between the road and the tires when the speed of a car increases?

As the speed of a car increases, the friction force between the road and the tires also increases. This is because the tires have to grip the road more firmly to maintain control and prevent slipping at higher speeds.

How does friction increase and decrease?

Friction increases with factors like surface roughness, applied force, and contact area. It decreases with factors like lubrication, smooth surfaces, and reduced contact force.

Why do rivers speed up even when the radiant decreases?

There is less friction from the bed and banks of the river downstream (where the gradiant decreases) so the velocity increases.

How can friction increased?

Friction increases or decreases based on the surface changes. If a box were sliding down a smooth hill that suddenly becomes quite rough, then friction would increase. It would be the same vice versa for decreasing friction.

What is an example of a negative correlation?

As the weight of a car increases, the miles per gallon decreases.

How does friction decrease the acceleration of a car?

friction decreases the acceleration of a car by creating a greater force which pushes against the acceleration force. the friction is a force, but more of it means that whatever is pushing against it ( acceleration in this case) is made smaller.

As airflow increases air resistance increases or decreases?

Air resistance increases when the speed of an object increases until it reaches terminal velocity. At this point the object is going as fast as it can, and if all forces remain the same the friction will not get any higher
