Electromagnetism occurs when an electric current aligns the atoms to create the field.

To try an experiment with electromagnetism, simply take an IRON nail, or other iron object and loop around it wire, insulated or uninsulated. The more loops you put around it, the stronger the field. Then on one side of the wire attach the positive (+) terminal of a battery, and then attach the negative side to the other. This will create a magnet, however DO NOT run constantly, as the wire will become VERY HOT! (Any battery voltage, 1.5V is a good starting point)

Then, just add a magnet object to test to see if it works.

Who discovered magnatism?

The ancient Greeks observed magnetism in lodestone, but the modern understanding of magnetism is credited to William Gilbert, an English scientist who conducted experiments and published the first significant work on magnetism in 1600.

Differentiate between potential difference and electro motive force?

Potential difference is the difference in electric potential energy between two points in a circuit. It is measured in volts and represents the work done in moving a unit charge across the points. Electro motive force (EMF) is the energy per unit charge supplied by a source, like a battery or generator, to move charge around a circuit. It is also measured in volts and represents the energy input provided by the source.

How do electro magnets work and what are their applications in modern technology?

Electromagnets work by using electricity to create a magnetic field. This magnetic field can attract or repel objects made of magnetic materials. In modern technology, electromagnets are used in a variety of applications such as MRI machines, speakers, electric motors, and magnetic levitation trains.

What does the electro magnetic system consist of?

The electromagnetic system consists of electric and magnetic fields that interact with each other. It includes electric charges, currents, and magnetic materials. These components work together to produce electromagnetic phenomena such as light, radio waves, and electricity.

What are the advantage and dis-advantage of electro mechanical?

Advantage: Electro-mechanical systems are reliable and durable, with the ability to handle high loads and harsh environments. They can provide precise control, feedback, and position sensing. Disadvantage: Electro-mechanical systems can be more complex and expensive compared to purely mechanical systems. They may require maintenance due to wear and tear on moving parts and can be sensitive to environmental conditions like temperature and humidity.
