friction on the road can be al life or death situation.

when there is a loss in friction or stickiness in tires it could result in cause understeeer or oversteer. if you not a drift racer then these would be bad things.

wet conditions can create a loss in friction and can cause you to hydroplane. that's when your car is no longer riding on the road surface instead it is riding on the water. this can lead to all sorts of pproblems like inablity to stop or steer.

What two types of friction that affect the performance of your vehicle?

The two types of friction that affect the performance of a vehicle are rolling friction, which occurs between the tires and the road surface, and air resistance, which affects the vehicle as it moves through the air. Both types of friction can impact fuel efficiency and overall performance of the vehicle.

Why is friction so important to a moving vehicle?

Friction is important to a moving vehicle because it provides the necessary grip between the tires and the road surface, allowing the vehicle to accelerate, decelerate, and turn effectively. Without friction, the tires would slip and the vehicle would not be able to maintain control or traction, leading to accidents and unsafe driving conditions.

Examples of places where friction can take place?

Friction can occur between surfaces in contact, such as the wheels of a moving vehicle on a road, a person walking on the ground, or when brakes are applied to slow down a moving object.

Friction between the road surface and your tires?

It is very small quantity . It varies from one road to another , one vehicle to another , one speed to another also on the basis of amount of air present on the tire , the load in the vehicle etc so we say that friction varies from on situation to another

What part of a moving car experiences the most friction?

The tires of a moving car experience the most friction with the road. This friction is necessary for the car to accelerate, decelerate, and make turns.

What is moving resistance for vehicle?

Moving resistance for a vehicle refers to the forces that impede its motion when in motion, such as air resistance, rolling resistance from the tires, and friction in the moving parts of the vehicle. These factors contribute to the energy needed to overcome resistance and propel the vehicle forward.

How do you derive banking of road?

If a vehicle is moving on a circular road which is rough and banked also then magnitude of N and direction plus magnitude of friction mainly depends on the speed of the vehicle V-

Why do cars skid on rainy days?

As there is no friction on the road, thus the road will not have friction that stop the car from moving.

What are the roles of friction and gravity in the car?

Friction in cars are produced by the tires and the clutch. The friction caused by the tires allow the vehicle to stay on the road, while the friction produced by the clutch makes it possible for the car to get moving. While gravity, for example supplies the force that pulls the vehicle down the hill.

Does speed affect the friction between a road and a skidding tire?

Speed does not affect the force of friction.

What prevents a moving bike from coasting forever in a straight line?

Friction. Air friction, road friction and mechanical friction.

When is friction good?

When driving because if there was no friction between the tires and the road, the vehicle would just slide of the road and crash.

Why the mass of an object has an effect on speed when moving on a road?

because the more heavy it is, the more friction it has on a road. the friction slows it down.
