The shape of a car affects it's speed.

take F1 cars for example. they are streamlined so precisely and they are also quite small in height. The streamlined body cuts through the air so there is less air resistance affecting the car.

if you take a van, it is big and bulky, so it doesn't go through the air as well as a F1 car would. if you have the same engine in both and they are both the same weight, then the F1 car would win, because of it's streamline.

Try this....

Take a knife and some butter.

The knife is the car and the butter is the air resistance.

The thinner end goes into the butter more easily than the thicker end.

this is the same principal as a car and air resistance.

Does the height of a car affect a car's speed?

The cross sectional area of a car is dependent on its height. As the area changes the drag on the car, it is likely that increasing the height of a car will also reduce its top speed. There are many other factors that affect a car's maximum speed so a change in height may not always result in a change in top speed.

Does a design of a car affect the speed?

Yes, the design of a car can affect its speed. Factors such as aerodynamics, weight distribution, and overall shape can impact the car's ability to move efficiently through the air, which can ultimately affect its speed and performance. sleek, streamlined designs are typically better suited for achieving higher speeds.

What are the factors that can affect the friction of a car while driving?

The factors that can affect the friction of a car while driving include the type and condition of the tires, the road surface, the weight of the car, and the speed at which the car is traveling.

Will the mass of a toy car affect the car's speed?

The mass of a toy car will affect its speed. A lighter car will accelerate faster than a heavier car, assuming all other factors (such as the force applied) are constant. However, once in motion, a heavier car may maintain its speed better due to its inertia.

How does mass affect the speed of a car?

Well i know a lot about mass. MASS is how big and heavy the car is when running so if your car is very wide then mass will have a affect on it more than if it was a smaller car.The person who answered this oviously didnt know a lot about mass and didnt even answer the ques. A big car will be tougher to run because of the air resistance.

It would affect its speed because the weight of the car is gonna slow it down

How does streamline body help the penguin to swim faster?

Streamlining (whether it is in a bird, fish, airplane, car, etc) reduces drag. Less drag permits greater speed at the same energy expenditure.
