Range is effected by other factors, too.
Barrel length
Spring, Gas, Electric
Environment
Strength of gun
The .270 Winchester cartridge typically shoots at a muzzle velocity of around 3,000 feet per second (fps) with a 130-grain bullet. The exact speed can vary depending on the specific load and barrel length.
The highest frames per second (fps) possible in video gaming is typically 240 fps.
No such thing as an "average gun". The .45 ACP fires a bullet at ABOUT 830 fps. A .220 Swift is over 4000 fps. A .22 pistol and .22 rifle will fire the same ammo, with greatly different velocities.
The value of gravity in fps system is 5.3 ft/s2.
It could be pounds per cubic inch, or pounds per cubic foot, or tons per cubic yard. The only substance I know in fps is water which is 62.4 pounds per cubic foot.
Airsoft miniguns can shoot at a variety of fps's, it can range from aroudn 200-700 fps. These guns are not very accurate however have a very high rate of fire, and is mainly used to spray around the enemy
Not much. It is only 130 feet per second. It sounds fast, but in reality, most airsoft guns shoot at about 300 fps.
No way! you could get arrested your self because he could press charges and by the way I have a 750 fps airsoft gun there are no laws on an airsoft gun fps
that is way to hot for any airsoft field. my fields limit on snipers is 550 fps and you still cant shoot people within a 75 yard radius. if your just shooting targets its fine but if you want to actually play airsoft downgrade it. Theres no way your airsoft gun shoots at 1500 fps, the strongest airsoft gun i ever saw shot at about 550 and it was upgraded, i know some shoot close to 800 fps but those ones cost like 2 000$.
No. It's actually quite slow. Most high-end guns shoot about 400+ FPS
Yes you can shoot someone with an airsoft gun. Airsoft is a sport just like paintball where there is a lot of running, ducking, and shooting at other opponents. Like paintball, you HAVE to wear the proper protective gear like goggles, facemask, gloves, etc.. Keep in mind velocity as well. most AEGs shoot 350 fps out of the box, anything above 450 fps, can break skin. So 400 hundred and under would be airsoft war approved.
280 fps
Most of the guns listed here will shoot around 400 fps or above. http://www.6mmbb.com/servlet/the-Airsoft-Sniper-Rifles/Categories Expensive guns are around $300-$800.
I think that the slowest Airsoft guns would have to be those Mini Electic toys that look like small versions of real guns. These are definitely toys that use AA batteries and shoot at about 150 fps with 0.12g BB's.
you do realize the 50 fps means a max range of less than 5 feet, essentially it will roll out of the barrel and hit the ground yeah that gun would FAIL out loud no airsoft shoot that i dont think exactly true, i have a 300 fps airsoft gun and it barly goes 100 feet and when the wind is strong i cant hit what i am aiming at usually
THe most dangerous airsoft gun is probably any of the Systema PTW series if they have the highest power cylinder. With it they can shoot at approximately 700 fps. A highly moded gas sniper rifle may also be able to achieve similar power, but I am not aware of any other airsoft gun that can shoot over 500 fps stock. Also, the Systema PTW has an absurdly high rate of fire, so it can deliver bb after bb. Most people who use these guns us weaker cylinders though, so in an airsoft game you will never have to worry about anything over 500 fps, and most guns will be around, if not lower, than 400 fps.
it depends what kind?
