CPU's are now are rated in Ghz which means "Billions of Cycles per Second"

Essentially, the more Ghz the processor has, the faster it will execute instructions. Older computers where rated in mhz which is a million cycles per second. For example, a 2.4 ghz processor is the same as 2400 mhz CPU, or a 500 mhz CPU is the same as a .5 ghz CPU. Single core vs. Dual Core vs. quad core ect, A core is what carries out the instructions. two cores doesn't necessarily mean that the processor will have twice the ghz, but twice the power if the program can take advantage of them.

Does the battery power on laptops with slower CPUs typically last longer?

Slower CPU's do not necessarily use less power, but slowing down the speed of your current processor, will save your battery.

Does a Dual core 3.4ghz CPU have a speed of 3.4ghz or 6.8ghz?

Dual core means two CPUs so what you really have is to CPUs each run at the speed of 3.4 Ghz and not one CPU that runs at 6.8GHz... Programming your Life...

Give the price of high speed processor?

It's impossible to answer this question. There are hundreds of high speed processors. Be more accurate. There are CPUs that cost more than $1000 and there are also CPUs that cost $300. If you need it for a server or heavy rendering - $1000, if gaming $300.

Can you run an AMD Athlon MP 900 with an AMD Athlon 1900 on your dual processor motherboard?

No. If you want to run dual processors, they need to both be the same speed, and either "MP" (multiprocessor) versions, or hacked 'normal' CPUs (there is a way of making normal CPUs report they are MP CPUs)

Do TV's have CPUs?

Yes most technology have cpus.

What causes speed drop in motor?

1) If current, at 'on load' condition, reach or cross its rated value, then the speed of the motor will be decreased. 2) If there is any voltage droop occurs in the incoming supply then the speed of the motor will be decreased.

Average speed is indicated on the speedometer?

I would call it current speed, not average speed.

What is rated voltage and current in transformers and how to calculate them if given 50k VA?

Rated voltage is the voltage at primary side. Rated current can be found from the equation, Rated Current= Output KVA / Output rated voltage

some factors that you need to consider.first the purpose you need that cpu.the cpus clock, the cpus fsb,the cpus socket to be compatible with your motherboard and the cpus l2 cache

Does a CPU uses more power when running at higher speed?

CPUs in mobile phones use very little electricity. While the CPUs that run a home computer use considerably more. The more advanced your graphics and video cards the more power usage will increase.
