I'm assuming that you're talking about crude oil and that you realize the "gram" is a measurement of weight and not volume. Understand also that the weight of crude oil will differ dependig on its temperature and where it comes from. The answer is as follows: Crude oil can weigh anwhere from 790 kilograms per cubic meter to 973 kilograms per cubic meter. Since there are 42 gallons in one barrel, its weight will range from 125,600 grams to 154,695 grams.

∙ 14y agoThe number of kilogram in a barrel will depend on the gravity of the oil, commonly expressed in degrees API. I will use 33 degree API oil as an example which has a specific gravity of 0.86. SG = 141.5/(131.5+33) = 0.86 (0.86) (1000 kg/m3) (0.1569 m3/ bbl) = 134.8 kg.

∙ 14y agoA barrel is not a unit of measure, but rather a type of container for holding things. Since barrels can be of different volumes and hold matter of various density, there is no standard weight for a barrel of anything.

one thousand million µg = one kg = 1,000,000,000 µg
If it floats it's less than water (1000 kg/m^3)
A DVD is not a measurement of weight while a kg is. If you mean how many DVDs would weigh one kg, then approximately 6.
you mean one ton? if so then 1000 kg=ton
173 kg.
Light sweet crude weighs approximately 828 kg/m3. One cubic meter = 264.17 gallons. 42 gallons in a barrel / 264.17 gallons in m3 = 0.16 m3 per barrel. 0.16 m3 x 828 kg = 132.48 kg per barrel. One US (short) ton = 907.18 kg. 907.18 kg / 132.48 kg per barrel = 9.85 barrels per ton. Multiply the current price of oil per barrel by 9.85 to get the price per ton.
