Mile is a unit of distance. Ton is weight. These are incompatible units and therefore no answer exists.
Meters are a measure of distance while tons are a measure of mass. They cannot be converted.

A 50-ton payload traveling 1,000 miles means that you have accomplished 50,000 ton-miles. Just figure out what it cost you to haul that load for that distance, divide the number by 50,000 , and you have your cost per ton-mile.
A ton is the same as 1 ton.
25 tons transported 55 miles = 1375 ton miles @ 15 cents per ton mile, that would be 1375*0.15 = 206.25 Euros or Dollars or whatever.

A unit of freight transportation equivalent to a ton of freight moved one mile. Calculated by multiplying the cargo (load) in tons by the miles per gallon example: a semi truck has a cargo of 30 tons and gets 8 miles per gallon 30 x 8 = 240 ton miles per gallon
