I hit my elbow and right away my figures got a shock-like numb feeling in my pinky and ring finger and I wanted to know if I popped or punctured a nerve so did I or did something else happen?

If, a day later, your fingers are still numb or tingly, you may have injured a nerve. Usually, though, the nerve is just sending out electrical signals like crazy because of the impact to it, and will go back to normal.

Interestingly enough, the nerve that goes to your pinky and ring finger is not the same nerve that goes to the rest of your fingers.
