i am in norther bc canada working as a utility welder, it is my first year because im just an apprentace. but i have heard it can be pretty cold and as long as we can pre heat something we can weld it so we can be working in like -20 and that gets pretty cold, cuz if its colder we wont have to work. but most welding jobs are in a shop where its warm and when you welding it warms you up pretty good anyways. just try to move around alot and youll stay nice and toasty.
