when both the teams are not able to pull each other that means they are balanced forces because the forces acting from both the sides cancel each others effect and the net resultant force is zero but if one team pulls the other team it means they are unbalanced forces because the force exerted by the winning team is more than the loser of the game and the net resultant force is non zero

How do you know if tug of war is a balanced force?

In tug of war, the forces are balanced when the rope doesn't move in either direction. This indicates that the teams are applying equal forces in opposite directions, resulting in a state of equilibrium. If one team is winning, then the forces are unbalanced.

What is the physics definition of unbalanced?

Unbalanced forces produce a non-zero net force, which changes the object's direction. Imagine a tug of war: if the forces are balanced, the center of the rope will not move; with unbalanced forces, the team pulling harder will win.

What type of force is shown in tug of war?

The force in a tug of war is a combination of tension forces acting in opposite directions as each team pulls on the rope. This creates a balanced force situation where the net force is zero until one team overcomes the other.

A tug-of-war that results in one team pulling the other across the line is an example of what?

That is an example of unbalanced forces in action. The force exerted by one team is greater than the force exerted by the other team, resulting in a net force in one direction leading to the movement across the line.

What sre balanced and unbalanced forces?

There's no such thing as a 'balanced force' or an 'unbalanced force'.A balanced group of forces is a group of two or more forces whose vector sum is zero.Examples:-- Identical twins pushing a shopping cart in exactly opposite directions.-- A tug of war between equal numbers of members of 2 identical football teams. An unbalanced group of forces is a group of two or more forces whose vector sum is not zero.Example:-- A 300-lb father and his 1-yr-old, both pushing the apple-juice bottle, in any two directions.-- A tug of war between the football team and its cheer-leading squad.

Do unbalanced forces change an object's motions?

Unbalanced forces DO change the motion of an object. Unbalanced is like tug-of-war, where one team is stronger. Meaning if the other team holds on to the rope, they'll be dragged forward.

How do unbalanced forces change the speed of an object?

Think of tug of war-if one team pulls harder, or has more force than the other, then this is unbalanced. it also means taht one team will go backwards

What is an unballanced force?

an unbalanced force is where the forces of something on eachside are unbalanced say if people were having a tug of war and on one side theer were great big rugy players that were super strong and on the other side were math nerds who were weak then the force would be unbalanced because theer is more force on one side than the other

What type of force is tug of war an example of?

Tug of war is an example of static forces, that is until someone loses...

How the forces in a game of tug of war result in equilibrium?

In the game of tug of war, both sides pull the rope. When the force is equal there is a state of equilibrium.
