Examples of physical changes include melting of ice, boiling of water, cutting a piece of paper, breaking a glass, and dissolving salt in water. These changes alter the form or appearance of a substance without changing its chemical composition.
The two main branches of Ecolgy are: 1.) Autecology - the study of the interactions of an individual organism or a single species with the living and nonliving factors of its environment. Autecology is primarily experimental and deals with easily measured variables such as light, humidity, and available nutrients in an effort to understand the needs, life history, and behaviour of the organism or species. 2.) Synecology - the ecological study of different natural communities or ecosystems.
Electromagnetic waves travel as a combination of oscillating electric and magnetic fields that propagate through space at the speed of light. These waves do not require a medium to travel through and can travel through a vacuum.
The physical properties refer to the change in it's physical state like "shape", " size" etc. physical changes involve only the change of physical state. No heat or light is involved. Normally we can get the original form of state after the process for example :- 1) change in shape of balloon changes when we blow air into it 2) the paper can be crush and then the shape can be regained. 3) when the wax melts it's shape can be regained by solidification
Wikipedia gives you a good definition and a very large list of areas. There's also the "Simple English" wikipedia. They give a very short and good definition for Physics.See http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physics

The basic three fields of Science (used by most schools) are:Biology: the study of living things,Chemistry: matter and reactions,Physics: how the universe works.but there are other sciences that don't quite fit into just these three, such as Engineering and Computer Science. Mathematics is also usually classed as a Science.Wikipedia uses 5 types of sciences to categorize everything:Formal Science - Maths, Computer SciencePhysical Science - Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth ScienceLife Science - BiologySocial and Behavioural Science - History, Geography, PsychologyApplied Science - Engineering, HealthcareSee the 'Template:Science' link below for a list of categories and sub-categories that Wikipedia uses.
