Any ceramic. It depends on if the heat source is a flame or just surrounding temperatures. Fiberglass insulation is always a good general insulator for hot and cold. When extreme temperatures come into play their are more precise insulators involved for specific applications. For example: when the outside temperatures of piping reach above maybe a couple hundred degrees F, calcium carbonate may be used rather that fiberglass. On the human body, thinsulate insulation works great, so dose heavy goose down.
fiberglass, wood(poor conductor of electricity ,which is a measurement of heat),and rubber
Three good insulators of heat are, maybe plastic, wood and glass! That's all I can think of right now but plastic and wood are very good insulators (etc. used of saucepan handles)
They are called insulators. Rubber is an example of a good electrical insulator.More:PlasticGlassAirWoodCeramicPorcelainPaperVarnishMineral OilSlateMarblePolyethyleneSiliconePVCKaptonTeflon
An insulator is a material that does not allow heat energy to flow through easily. Insulators have low thermal conductivity, which means they are good at preventing heat transfer. Examples of insulators include wood, plastic, and fiberglass.
plastic, glass, and rubber_porcelain, wood, and yeah rubber
Plastic wood and rubber are good insulaters. Electricity and heat do not transfer through them very well. If cars didnt have rubber tires they would be hit by lightning because there is no insulater. The metal on the car is a conductor though.

Conductors are materials that allow energy such as heat and electricity to pass through while insulators prevent the energy to flow. Most metals are considered good conductors while rubber is a good insulator.

The three materials that I think is wood, plastic and glass.
Sound insulators are similar to heat insulators in that they both aim to reduce the transfer of energy, but they work in different ways. Sound insulators absorb and dampen sound vibrations, while heat insulators reduce the transfer of heat through conduction, convection, or radiation. Materials that are good sound insulators may not necessarily be good heat insulators and vice versa.
Plastics are a good electrical insulators because they are insulators. Electricity could not pass through them unlike copper. Another good example of insulators is rubber.
