The question ... after it finishes telling us how to solve it ... seems to say

"1,000 Pascals" of pressure.

Pressure = Force/Area

1,000 = Force / 10

Force = 10,000 Newtons.

IF the '10' means 10 meters2 of area, then the force is 10,000 Newtons.

If 10,000 Newtons is not the correct answer to the question, then either "1000 P"

doesn't mean 1,000 Pascals of pressure, or else the "10" doesn't mean 10 m2 of area.

If the person who posted the question included the definition of pressure in the

question, which states everything you need to solve the problem, and then felt

that he knew enough to come back and protest an incorrect solution, then why

didn't he just go ahead and take the easier, simpler, faster route and solve the

problem on his own ? ! ?
