Some ways to conserve energy

Take public transport instead of energy consuming vehicles.

Turn appliances off at the wall socket (e.g. TV's). (When on standby they still draw some current, and this mounts up.)

Choose not to use plastics, as these are oil based and use a lot of energy to manufacture.

If technically feasible, install alternative energy sources. Solar heating for water, solar power panels or home-sized wind generator to supplement power, etc.

2. Seal drafts around windows and doors to prevent heat loss.
3. Adjust thermostat settings and use programmable thermostats.
4. Unplug electronics when not in use to eliminate standby power consumption.
