Most common use is in older steam based machines in the use of a governor. Because the bobs would lift in response to a faster speed (because they were basicly a conical pendulum) it could be attached to some sort of regulator valve which could increase or decrease steam flow to keep a more constant speed.

Other uses include some more unusual clocks and of course Rube Goldberg machines.

Is there any limitation on semivertical angle in conical pendulum?

Yes, the semivertical angle in a conical pendulum is limited to a maximum of 90 degrees. If the angle exceeds 90 degrees, the motion of the pendulum would become unstable and may not follow the expected circular path.

What happen to the period and speed when thetha90 in conical pendulum?

When the angle is 90 degrees in a conical pendulum, the period becomes infinite and the speed approaches zero. This is because the vertical component of the tension in the string that provides the restoring force becomes zero at this angle, causing the motion to become unbounded.

How do you use conical in a sentence?

What is the solution to a conical pendulum physics problem involving a mass attached to a string and swinging in a circular path?

The solution to a conical pendulum physics problem involves analyzing the forces acting on the mass, such as tension and gravity, to determine the tension in the string and the angle of the string with respect to the vertical. This can be done using principles of circular motion and trigonometry.

How do you use a pendulum for divination?

It depends on how you were trained. No matter how you were trained, however, you first suspend the pendulum from your hand. Some people determine yes or no from the direction the pendulum spins; others use the speed of the pendulum to determine if a response is positive or negative.

Do you use titrant in conical flask?

yes we use titrant in the conical flask ,this is because titrant is a solution we use in burrete for titration in this process we titrant the solution in the conical flask along with an indicator

How can I effectively use a crystal pendulum for divination and guidance?

To effectively use a crystal pendulum for divination and guidance, start by holding the pendulum in your dominant hand and asking clear yes or no questions. Focus on your intention and let the pendulum swing freely to indicate the answer. Practice regularly to strengthen your connection with the pendulum and trust your intuition.

Would you find a pendulum on a colck?

Yes, a clock can have a pendulum. Pendulum clocks use a swinging weight on a rod to regulate its timekeeping mechanism. The swing of the pendulum controls the movement of the clock's hands.
